Youth Pastor – Dallas Tharp

I joined Liberty in October of 2011.When I first came, the one thing that I noticed was the love and the care that this congregation gives, I instantly felt like I had known these people for years and that they are a part of my family. I accepted the position of Youth Pastor here at Liberty after obtaining a Bachlor’s degree in Youth Ministry from Olivet Nazarene University in the fall of 2011.

My wife, Christyn, and I met while were freshmen at Olivet, we dated for 3 years and were married on July 31, 2010.

My hobbies include watching and collecting movies, collecting Star Wars memorabilia, woodworking, making models, playing video games, fishing, and just being outdoors in general.

I’ve been asked why do I want to work with teens. The simple answer is that teenagers freely express their opinions and beliefs and they have such an open mind to the world around them. If I can help develop them to use their minds for Christ then they will set this world on fire.
